Native Go CLI for macOS and Linux. Node.js is not required.

Run the CLI

Recommended for a permanent install with automatic Homebrew upgrades.

Install a real plugin

Command
agentplugins add context7 --target codex,cursor

The same command accepts one target or a comma-separated list.

Keep it current

Command
agentplugins update context7 --target codex,cursoragentplugins repair context7 --target codex,cursor

Use update for a new release and repair when a client drifts.

Remove cleanly

Command
agentplugins remove context7 --target codex,cursor

The CLI removes managed client entries while retaining package data by default.

Supported agents

Compatibility depends on the plugin. The CLI checks each selected agent and prints any activation or sign-in steps that remain.

Codex

Supported

Skills and supported MCP transports. Follow any activation hint printed by the CLI, then start a new Codex session.

ChatGPT

Setup in app

Verified app bindings and guided Context7 setup. Create or connect the app in Developer Mode, install the prepared personal plugin, and select it in a new chat.

Cursor

Supported

Native Agent Plugin package. Reload Cursor when requested, then verify that the plugin is discovered.

GitHub Copilot CLI

Supported

Managed native plugin. Restart or reload the client only when the native Copilot workflow asks for it.

VS Code

Supported

Copilot plugin integration. If automatic activation is unavailable, follow the exact setting or import path printed by the CLI.

Kiro

Supported

Managed skills and MCP configuration. Complete the printed OAuth or restart step. macOS and Windows preparation does not claim automatic runtime verification.

Claude Code

Supported

Managed MCP configuration. Reload Claude Code when requested and complete any service sign-in in the client or provider.

Gemini CLI

Supported

Managed MCP configuration. Enable or reload the integration when Gemini CLI prints a follow-up step.

OpenCode

Supported

Managed MCP configuration. Open a new OpenCode session after installation so the project configuration is reloaded.

Cline

Supported

Managed MCP configuration. Reload Cline when requested and complete provider authentication outside the plugin package.
